broken image

William Harnisch leverages nearly five decades of experience in the financial sector to serve as the chief investment strategist at Peconic Partners, which he founded in 2004. In addition to this role, William Harnisch manages the charitable operations of the Harnisch Foundation.

Since its establishment in 1998, the Harnisch Foundation has provided support for progressive organizations, films, programs, and other efforts that promote a more equitable society. The New York City-based organization, which invests heavily in the rights of women, has funded over 1,000 grantees to date.
Several recent Harnisch Foundation projects focus directly on women’s rights. For example, the foundation helped to fund the Hunting Ground, a film by Oscar nominees Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick that exposes college rape crimes and their effects on individuals and families. The foundation also participates in the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, established in 1994 to advance the safety and independence of women.
Lastly, the Harnisch Foundation has engaged with the Women Moving Millions Film Circle since 2007. A community of philanthropists dedicated to supporting women media-makers. For additional information on these projects and many others supported by the Harnisch Foundation, visit www.thehf.org.
